The Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan is a governmmental agency within the Cabinet of Azerbaijan in charge of regulation of the justice system, overseeing the public prosecutor, maintaining the legal system and public order and instituting law reforms.
The Ministry of Justice needed a single, centralized registry for all offenders through which its various services – Penitentiary, Probation and Medical – could easily manage offender data. The solution had to be highly secure, as the system would contain sensitive data, and at the same time be reliable, resilient and user friendly.
ED designed and delivered a highly reliable IT infrastructure with inbuilt redundancy to serve as the backbone of the system. In addition, we developed a sophisticated, web-based Prisoner and Detainee Central Information System to international standards.
The system meets the needs of the Ministry’s Penitentiary, Probation and Medical Services, improving usability and mitigating human factors in critical aspects of offender management.
Through a highly detailed business analysis process, project planning and effective implementation, ED delivered a tremendous, highly secure solution for the Ministry of Justice.
