The Ministry of Justice is responsible for the justice system in Azerbaijan. This involves overseeing the public prosecutor, maintaining the judicial system and public order, and instituting law reforms. The Ministry includes administrative buildings, courts and correctional institutions.
The spread of the COVID-19 virus in the country has made the Ministry's operations difficult. In particular, the movement of prisoners between places of detention and the courts has become highly problematic. This prompted the IT department to introduce a videoconferencing system, which also tackles problems in the communication process between employees and the Ministry leadership.
The Ministry of Justice involved ED in implementing a videoconferencing solution and integrating it with the IP telephony system.
